Liam continues to have significant chest tube drainage and his left lung is still pretty bad. He cannot wean his ventilator much because he has to work so hard to breath because of all the fluid. His weight is up again today and his belly is very swollen. There is talk within the physicians of having the pleurodesis done on the left side now. Last Weds surgery was the thoracic duct ligation and pleurodesis on the right. No significant changes with his output. We Will most likely know more tomorrow.
I have said it before but we have met so many wonderful people on our journey.
Our primary nurse Wendy is back from her mission trip. She has been gone for 11 days and we are super excited to see her! She is amazing and we love her. Anybody that loves my little boy is awesome in my book. Our nurse tonight is Christina, she is super fun and she makes us laugh. She is almost partially obsessed with Liam. She is on the brink of insanity. ( Shhh. i only say this because she reads my blog. Haha). I left the room for a short while and came back and found Liam covered in stuffed animals. Of course Christopher was in on it as well. It makes it easier being away from home by being surrounded by such wonderful people.
