Another crazy busy day for Mr. Sugar. His belly was extremely swollen, they were concerned that his fluid was leaking into his abdomen from his chest. They ordered an abdominal X-ray and abdominal ultrasound and they both came back ok, no fluid. The right sided chest tube has slowed from the surgery on Wednesday and the lung looks perfect. But of course the left side is still putting out drainage and the lung still looks a little collapsed with some fluid. Their plan is to give him a few more days then decide what they want to do. The ventilator is still at high settings but they are trying to wean as tolerated. He really needs to work at this. It been in way to long and it starting to become worrisome. Please Lord, give Liam the strength to fight and work on his breathing. We do not want to bring him home with a trach and home vent. Those are some of my biggest fears. Please carry him and help him through all of this. Thank you for all that you have given us and for introducing us to some amazing people that work so hard to take such amazing care of our little boy!! We are blessed!!!!!
We have been very lucky to have Parker here. He always seems to make us feel better. We love having Grandma and Grandpa Sugar here with us too. Liam is loved very much.
